pic2There are many flavors of business and franchise owner. There are two main categories of owners and they are Investors and CEOs. Depending on situations, an owner can sometimes be, and usually are both. The Business or Franchise path you take will be risky but must show promise. Be strategic and take in consideration the pro and cons of being a true Investor or CEO. Remember, the Investor who invested in Blockbuster made great investment, and the CEO who invented Blockbuster made great companies. Both Investor and CEO won in the end.

Most Big time Investors usually have the money to investment, but may not be the brain child behind the project. Investors should be paper work savvy and able to study a good opportunity. Most Investors usually are hands off, and allow the managers of the investment to follow thru with the daily business operations. Being the investor can have its down side. Most Investors don’t run the daily operation and their success is in the hands of those that run the company. If the owner has a bad business plan or has made bad decision, then the pic2investor may be at a loss. As an Investor do your home work and don’t put your eggs in one basket.

Most CEOs may have less money at their disposal, but have invested time and know how of the new business or franchise investment. CEO entrepreneurs should be able to adapt to trends, and know the in and out of their company. Most start-ups are organic and that allows CEOs to be more hands on with the daily business operations. Being a CEO carries major pressure with relentless work hours. The success of the company relies on the excellent decision making abilities and proper business planning of the CEO. If the CEO makes bad decision and did not plan properly for the future, then the whole company can go pic2under. As a CEO know your product well and plan ahead.

Major factors need to be taken in consideration when entering a new Business or Franchise venture. Know the pro and cons of being either an Investor or CEO. Which ever Business or Franchise path you be sure to see the vision of the new opportunity. The King in chess is the last piece to move. Work the resources at your disposal, and make long term strategic plans where both, Investor and CEO are successful.
